9 DAYS
KOGELO EXPEDITIONS
DAY 1: NAIROBI
After arrival be picked up and then transfere to Marble Arch
Hotel for Dinner and overnight
Day 2: NAIROBI/NAKURU
After breakfast leave the Hotel to Nakuru, Lake Nakuru is famous
for it is the home for the White Rhinos and also millions of
Flamingoes. Dinner and overnight in Lake Nakuru Lodge or Lion
Hills.
Day 3: LAKE NAKURU/KERICHO/KISUMU
After the breakfast proceed for the last morning game drive as
you leave the park and drive to Kericho town with a break at
Kericho tea hotel which was built in 1950’s by Brooke Bond Tea
Company, enjoy evening fresh tea and then go for an escorted
walk in the Tea Plantations. Kericho is a Tea country which has
put Kenya to be the world third largest Tea producer after India
and Sri Lanka. There are beautiful rolling hills carpeted in
neat, bright green tea bushes as far as you can see. The climate
here is perfect for Tea with rain falling almost every
afternoon. Kericho was named after Ole Kericho, a Maasai Chief
who was killed in the battle by the Gusii in the 19th
Century.You will then drive to Kisumu City to check in at
DAY 4: KISUMU FULL DAY
Ndere Island National Park
After breakfast trek to the lake shore or the yacht club, then
take a boat to Ndere Island National park. According to Luo
legendary story Ndere (meeting place) is where Mikaye the mother
of the Luo rested after along journey down the Nile to the Lake
Victoria before reaching her home Kit - Mikaye. The day is spent
in search of the lake's largest crocodiles, Hippos, monitor
lizards, birds, water antelopes etc. Enjoy fishing and taste
your catch for dinner. Lunch in the lake on the boat. Overnight
stay at Imperial Hotel which is located next to central police
station Kisumu
DAY 5: Kisumu City -Kogelo Village
After breakfast, drive to Nyang’oma Kogelo is a village in Siaya
District, Nyang’oma Kogelo is the ancestral home of Barak Obama
Snr the father to U.S.A PRESIDENT BARAK OBAMA. The village has a
primary school and a high school named after (Senator Obama
Secondary School) .The village is linked by road to Kisumu town.
It is a typical Kenyan rural village with most residents living
modestly by small-scale farming . Dinner and overnight stay at
Sunset Hotel or Kiboko Bay Tented beach lodge.
DAY 6: KISUMU/NAIVASHA
After breakfast check out the hotel, proceed on to Kericho for
Lunch. After lunch leave for Naivasha arriving there late
afternoon,check in to Sopa Lodges which is located along the
show of Lake Naivasha which is also inhabited with Hippos and
other game wild.If interested the Lodge can organize for you the
boat ride at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight in Sopa Lodge.
DAY 7: NAIVASHA/MAASAI MARA
After the breakfast leave Naivasha and proceed on to Maasai mara
game reserve which has now become the wonder of the world
crossing the Loita Plains and viewing sceneries enroute, See red
clad spear wielding Masai warriors tending their multi-colored
herds among the presence of wild game .Arrive Mara for Lunch.
Afternoon game drive inside the Park which is the Kenya's best
and most scenic. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or
Keekerok Lodge.
DAY 8:MAASAI MARA FULL DAY
After breakfast, leave with picnic lunches for a Full day game
viewing inside the Park. Optional visit to the Maasai villages
for an insight to their culture. All meals and overnight at a
Mara Sopa Lodge/Keekerok Lodge.
DAY 9. MAASAI MARA NAIROBI
After the breakfast prepare to leave the park while having the
final game drive. Drive back to Nairobi arriving early afternoon
with a drop off to the hotel where safari ends.
6 DAYS KOGELO VILLAGE VISIT

DAY 6: KISUMU/NAIROBI
After breakfast explore the Lake shore if time allows and then
the driver will transfer you the Airport to catch up with the
Flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival our crews will pick you up
at the Airport and transfer you to your hotel where the safari
ends.
